Maxwell Stephens have been asked to recruit on behalf of the client for the role of Senior Operations Surveyor who will join a team of highly skilled property professional who are responsible for maintenance and pride themselves on the achievement of exceptional standards and strives to be a centre of excellence.
In this role you will lead the team of an Assistant Surveyor, two Building Supervisors and the contract team. You will have responsibility for the service delivery, project and programme management and maintaining stakeholder relationships.
About You
You are educated to Chartered Building Surveying level or equivalent with experience working within historic or listed buildings as well as on multi-site portfolio.
You are IT literate.
You have a good knowledge and experience of project management and can manage a varied portfolio of work while adapting to change of circumstances well.
You are customer-driven in your approach to the delivery of property services while at the same time using your communication skills to work collaboratively with your colleagues while managing stakeholder relationships.
Your logical manner helps you solve problems while still keeping a level headed manner.
Your Responsibilities
In this role you will be expected to make day-to-day decisions without referral.
You will manage the Operations Surveying Team to provide clear and effective line management and support the individuals to ensure they are undertaking their duties effectively.
As well as this you will oversee works and drive the performance of contractors and the in-house team to ensure that all works are completed on time and within budgets as well as to the required specification and quality standards.
You will be responsible for the conservation, repair and maintenance of the building fabric of the Estate as well as the provision, operation and supervision of day-to-day building maintenance work and projects from the annual works programme.
In this role you will ensure the compliance across the team as well as actively promoting a culture of risk awareness and management.
As part of your responsibilities, you will ensure that works are procured in the most cost-effective manner in order to achieve excellent value for money.
Using your communication skills you will liaise closely with customers to ensure the service provided meets their needs and expectations and that the highest levels of customer service are delivered.
