Maxwell Stephens has been asked to recruit on behalf of our client for the role of Operations Surveyor. To be a key member of the team responsible for the operational activities of the team. This includes planned and reactive maintenance alongside statutory compliance, preparing for functions an events while being responsible for service delivery, project and programme management.

About You

You may be educated to degree level with relevant experience as a Building Surveyor ideally gained within an environment of occupied spaces. If you had experience with historic buildings, this would be an advantage.

You take a proactive approach to improving the environment and sustainability.

Your excellent communication skills make you adept at managing stakeholder relationships with a collaborative approach. This role will see you liaise with contractors as well as working collaboratively with colleagues with a ‘can do’ attitude to teamwork.

As a logical mannered individual, you are able to solve problems with good judgment while managing a varied portfolio of work at the same time still being able to adapt to change.

Your Responsibilities

You will be expected to make day-to-day decisions without referral but will refer policy, strategic or non-routine issues to the Head of Department.

In this role you will be responsible for the conservation, repair and maintenance of the built fabric, this includes the supervision of planned and reactive maintenance.

You will work closely with the team of Surveyors and Supervisors to oversee works and drive the performance of consultants and contractors and the in-house team to ensure that all works are completed on time and within budget.

You will ensure compliance with statutory duties and legislative requirements and that associated policies and procedures (internal and external) are known and adhered to.

As part of this role you will be responsible for multiple project budgets and to accurately forecast cash flow on a monthly basis.
