Integral to the musical training we offer is the opportunity to perform; in an average year, the Academy runs a vibrant programme of around 500 events.

The Estates Department is at the heart of the Academy and affects the experience of all those visiting the buildings. It is an extremely busy department covering a wide range of activities and operating in an environment which is open to the public. We are looking for an Deputy Head of Estates to join the Estates team and to support the Head of Estates. You will be responsible for all areas of operational estates management and the smooth running the facilities on a day-to-day basis. You are also responsible for proving a high level of service to staff, students, and visitors. Areas of management include all aspects of building security, maintenance, safety, soft services and the helpdesk.

The ideal candidate will have significant previous experience of estates, facilities and staff management along with knowledge of appropriate legislation including planning, health & safety, property, construction and procurement, The successful candidate will have proven previous experience, preferably from a creative public venue focused background, an appropriate professional qualification and also be an excellent communicator with outstanding customer service and planning skills.
