The International Maritime Organization (IMO), a specialized agency of the UN system based on the banks of the Thames near Lambeth Bridge (SE London), seeks to employ a full-time Facilities Management Assistant. Core hours of work are 9 am to 5.30 pm, Monday to Friday.

Under the direct supervision of the Facilities Manager and the overall supervision of the Chief, Central Support Services, the incumbent will assist the Facilities Manager with the maintenance and operations of the Organization’s HQ premises.

Minimum 6 years’ Facilities Management experience of which at least 5 years in building engineering or similar, with practical involvement in the procedures required to implement operational routines for large buildings. Knowledge of building surveying would be desirable.

Salary: a competitive salary is offered (tax free in the UK), with 30 days annual leave per annum plus Medical Scheme and UN Pension. Only candidates with unhindered permission to live and work in the UK may be considered.
