H&S Manager

Cobalt is working with a prestigious investment management company, who are looking to hire a H&S Manager for their commercial portfolio. You will be responsible for leading a proactive H&S provision working with various heads of departments to help drive forward the Health and Safety for the company. This is an operational role, and will see you actioning measures to ensure our client remains fully compliant with UK Health & Safety legislation.

Our client has offices across the UK, which will each require visiting on an annual basis. This is a home based role, with only one day a week required to work in an office of your choosing after training is complete.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Identifying training requirements for health and safety, developing and delivering on this.
• Liaising with the H&S framework to help tweak and enhance current health and safety policies & procedures.
• Assessing and analysing H&S policies and procedures in place to ensure they remain fit for purpose.
• Acting as a conduit between the FM team you form a crucial part of, and the wider health and safety function of your employer.
• Developing and maintaining a management system for occupational health and safety to ensure full compliance with UK legislative requirements.

Our client is looking for an established H&S manager with experience of overseeing the operational health and safety preferably in a commercial background, ideally in an in-house background. NEBOSH general certificate essential.

However equally importantly will be your communication skills: namely the ability to liaise with a range of stakeholders in order to deliver a positive proactive health and safety provision within the business.
