This is a key role within Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA) estates services and Health and Safety team. You will be working closely in a small, dynamic team in which the role involves a range of contract management of both Hard and Soft Facilities Management Services. You will be involved in auditing and evaluations of compliance to support both the ISO45001 H&S Accreditation and contract management.

Due to the nature of the role, it is essential that you are flexible and adaptable to support the business when required which could include working evenings/weekends. Similarly, since DVLA estates are spread over several sites, a full UK valid driving licence is essential.

Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Completing audits and evaluations of compliance for the Health and Safety Management System, DVLA procedures and Contractors to ISO 45001 standard
• Assisting in maintaining the Health and Safety Management System to ISO 45001 certification standard
• Co-ordinating and carrying out regular audit activities of services provided by the PFI and in-house service providers across all DVLA buildings in accordance with the established KPI scheme. Reporting areas of poor performance and non-compliance
• Working effectively with managed service partners to ensure appropriate standards are met and escalating any issues of poor service via agreed process and actively seek to resolve

Additional Information
DVLA are following current government guidelines and as this role requires staff to carry out essential operational duties on site you will be required to attend the office. Due to the current and ongoing Covid-19 situation you will be expected to adhere to all safety measures that are in place whilst on site.

It would be great if you have Nebosh, IWFM qualifications and ISO auditor training, but if not you must be willing to obtain these whilst in post.

About you
We are looking for someone who is a natural communicator with excellent verbal and written skills who can express themselves confidently. You will also have the ability to handle challenging conversations when necessary.

Excellent organisational skills are required and you will have the ability to manage and filter workflow. You will organise and prioritise your work to maximise productivity and achieve all deadlines whilst being highly adaptable and flexible, adjusting to the requirements of the role. You can work calmly under pressure, remaining composed and showing resilience.

You will be someone who naturally enjoys working collaboratively with different business areas and likes the challenge of influencing others to achieve business outcomes. You can build rapport quickly with both internal and external stakeholders which enables you to create solid working relationships.

You will have the capability to work under your own initiative, ensuring that you provide a high quality service which is delivered on time and taking ownership of key decisions that need to be made. You will be able to work in a fast-paced environment, be driven and have the passion to succeed in this role.
