The University of Lincoln is seeking to recruit a Mechanical & Electrical Engineer (BMS) to join its Estates Team.

Situated in the heart of a beautiful and historic city, the University of Lincoln has established an international reputation for the quality of our teaching and research. Crowned Modern University of the Year in The Times and The Sunday Times Good University Guide 2021, we are an ambitious, fast-paced dynamic organisation that strives to improve the student and staff experience and engagement with the wider Lincoln community.

The Estates Department comprises a high performing team of estate professionals that continues to manage and develop an impressive estate.  The Building Services System is comprised of the Building Management System and the various Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning systems on site. It forms a key part of delivering a good environment to students, staff, and visitors. The BMS is crucial in having a well-managed estate and plays a vital role in controlling energy use and carbon emissions.

The Mechanical & Electrical Engineer (BMS) will manage the day-to-day operation of the Building Management System (BMS), which aids activities such as Building Maintenance, Energy Management and Client Control. Using stakeholder management skills and implementing behaviour change, the role aids the reduction of energy and the improvement of environmental conditions within buildings across the campus. In addition, they will be able to convey complex technical information clearly to building users and Estates colleagues.

We are seeking a leading M&E Engineer with extensive experience in planned and reactive maintenance, asset management, and the use of Building Management Systems to control a site or building.  You will also have experience of using a BMS to identify energy saving opportunities, whilst managing maintenance contracts and contractors with experience of managing a BMS system over a wider ICT network.

The candidate brochure can be viewed on our website.

To arrange a briefing discussion please contact our retained advisor David Craven of MRG.  Applications should consist of a CV and Covering Letter.
