Job Purpose:
The Digital Transformation Support Manager will be the know-how providing insight and setting the digital vision, responsible for delivering the organisation’s digital transformation agenda through the design, redesign and co-creation of the organisation’s digital services and processes. So the proven ability to work at pace when leading change within a project environment is vital.
With your excellent knowledge of digital technologies, you’ll have demonstrable experience of applying digital design within a wide range of situations from frontline operations to back-office delivery. Along with proven knowledge to support the design of services that are inclusive and accessible. Reporting directly to the Head of Information & Digital Transformation, you will have the support needed to deliver the digital strategy.

Role Responsibilities:
- Manage programme / project budgets on behalf of the Head of Information & Digital Transformation and ensure all stakeholders are engaged with the communication plans;
- Plan and monitor the overall progress of programmes and projects;
- Present complex, sensitive or contentious information/presentations to large groups including senior/executive management teams;
- Resolve any issues and instigate corrective action as appropriate (issues management and analysis;
- To manage and mentor project staff/project teams as appropriate;
- Ensure the delivery of new products and/or services is to the appropriate level of quality, on time and within budget;
- Make decisions on a range of complex project issues where there may be more than one course of action & initiate appropriate action plan;
- Manage the day to day management responsibility for delivery of all tasks set out in the relevant programme / project plans;
- Facilitate multidisciplinary teams involved in the planning, implementation and benefit realisation aspects of each programme and project;
- Oversee and manage the data and information gathering process to initiate and monitor programmes and projects including producing and regularly updating project plans;
- Promote effective working with all members of multidisciplinary teams;
- Support the IM&T function to deliver a quality service aligned with good practice across all areas including: Incident Resolution; Service Transition; Technology Deployment and Technology Disaster Recovery;
- Lead & explore opportunities for more efficient and innovative solutions to enhance service delivery, through the introduction of technology.
- Equivalent level of experience within an IM&T / Digital managerial role;
- Have continuous evidence of personal and professional development;
- Have extensive experience of 3rd & 4th level IT support;
- Strong communication and negotiation skills at a senior level;
- Commitment to self-development with ability to demonstrate in depth knowledge of key policies and themes in the healthcare provision in the UK.
