We are looking to recruit a Senior Facilities Manager to join our Property & Facilities team within our Head Office, based in Knowsley, Merseyside.

Primary Objective 

To provide a professional and comprehensive facilities support function to the Retail Business including two distribution Warehouses, Head Office building and over 230 retail stores. 

Principle Accountabilities 

  • Lead the delivery of hard and soft FM services working with suppliers; internal resources (circa 20 FTE’s) and eternal contract administration; CAFM and  external 24/7/365 Helpdesk function with an overall budget in excess of £10M 
  • Lead the management of the energy procurement contract; including advising on forward purchasing; consumption and other market activity in conjunction with the Finance team to identify opportunities and risks within the £20M + utilities budget 
  • Ensure that all statutory documentation in respect of SECR and TCFD etc. are completed in line with specified time limits.  Monitor progress and present to CFO for inclusion in company accounts 
  • Ensure that the business is aware of compliance requirements and achieves full compliance across the estate 
  • Manage and develop the contractor / supplier base in accordance with company and financial requirements. 
  • Identify Planned Preventative Maintenance and Reactive Works Requirements, including developing specifications and managing the tender process. 
  • Monitoring of contractor SLA’s and KPI’s including FM target responsibilities, ensure all works are completed on time, within budget and to the required standards. 
  • Develop budgets / financial forecasts and manage facilities related spend including reporting and reforecasting on a monthly basis 
  • Develop and manage a forward asset replacement programme based on anticipated end of life; drive to carbon reduction and/or business efficiency 
  • Work with department stakeholders to develop and deliver solutions where workplace changes are identified within the Head Office. 

About You

  • Management experience at a senior level within the Facilities sector. 
  • Management of large-scale contracts within the building maintenance, cleaning, waste and catering sectors supported by appropriate professional qualifications and experience within the retail sector. 
  • Minimum MIWFM (preferably CIWFM) accreditation 
  • Relationship (both external and internal) management. 
  • Planning and process management. 
  • Financial management 
  • Ability to manage a large and diverse team
