Residences Manager

The University of the Arts London is a higher education institution specialising in art, design, fashion and media, which is comprised of Camberwell College of Arts, Central Saint Martins, Chelsea College of Arts, London College of Communication, London College of Fashion and Wimbledon College of Arts.

The university is Europe's largest provider of education in art, design, fashion, communication and the performing arts. It brings together 19,000 students from over 100 different countries, including 2,250 further education students, 14,000 undergraduates and 2,700 postgraduate and research students. Accommodation Services currently accommodates over 3200 students in 12 Halls of Residence located throughout London.

The Residences Manager is responsible for providing a first-class customer orientated service for University students in the provision of safe, secure and affordable accommodation. You will be responsible for providing inspirational leadership and motivation to the team, at our new state of the art accommodation, Archwood, ensuring the effective provision of world class student accommodation.

Accommodation Services at UAL is one of UK’s leading departments and is renowned for being a dynamic and lively department focused on providing an innovative and supportive student experience. The successful candidate will possess significant experience of operational management in a similar consumer led environment (residential, hospitality, hotels etc.) and on a comparable scale.  You will have extensive experience of leading teams, with a proven track record of implementing change management and delivering performance improvement.  A high level of commercial acumen is vital, with experience of budget management including setting and achieving financial targets a key aspect of the role.

Deputy Residences Manager

Reporting to the Residence Manager, you will support in the facilities management across the residential building, delivering an impeccable service to create a first-class student experience. You will assist the Residence Manager is the pastoral care and H&S of the students, ensuring safe and secure accommodation year-round. In the Residence Manager’s absence, you will deputise and take the lead across the site.

Accommodation Services at UAL is one of UK’s leading departments and is renowned for being a dynamic and lively department focused on providing an innovative and supportive student experience. The successful candidate will possess experience of facilities management in a similar, consumer led, environment (residential, hospitality, hotels etc.) and on a comparable scale.  You will have experience of leading and motivating teams on a day-to-day basis to ensure high levels of customer service.
