An exciting opportunity has arisen, supporting a large healthcare organisation as a Multi-Skilled Building Craftsman.
The post will be permanent and based in the Northwest, on a salary of £22,549 - £28,882 depending on experience.
The post holder will act using their own initiative as a multi-skilled building craftsman, providing building maintenance services to properties maintained by the organisation.
Main Responsibilities:

The post will be permanent and based in the Northwest, on a salary of £22,549 - £28,882 depending on experience.
The post holder will act using their own initiative as a multi-skilled building craftsman, providing building maintenance services to properties maintained by the organisation.
Main Responsibilities:
- Follow and ensure compliance with all trust procedures and policies including Health and Safety and Risk Management;
- Carry out Risk Assessments for work carried out by self;
- Liaise with organisation management, nursing personnel, and support personnel to advise on the best course of action to be taken in situations as they arise and carry out recommendations;
- Ensure compliance with all contractual / statutory / mandatory undertakings associated with delivery of a comprehensive building maintenance service;
- Ensure compliance with relevant organisation quality initiatives, procedures and policies including health and safety and risk management and all operational policies and procedures;
- Carry out the full range of building maintenance activities in accordance with relevant health technical memoranda, British standards, codes of practice and legislation;
- Liaise with nursing staff, organisation management, and other support staff to ascertain the extent of problems, and priority;
- Undertake specialist mandatory equipment training to enable the organisation to meet its obligations under its policies and legislation;
- Update knowledge of new techniques/equipment as necessary;
- Train other members of estates staff as and when necessary.
- City and Guilds or NVQ Level 2 or equivalent experience;
- Relevant experience in a maintenance service environment;
- Computer literate;
- Driving Licence;
- Willingness to update skills and training.
