Maxwell Stephens are delighted to have been asked by the client to recruit for the role of Engineering Team Manager.

King’s College London are ranked in the top 10 universities in the world and are based across serval incredible and beautiful campuses in London.

You will be responsible for the effective delivery of Hard Services and Fabric Maintenance across the KCL estate.

About You

You have a HND or HNC in Building Services alongside a NEBOSH with both relevant professional qualifications and practical experience.

You are a strong communicator who can both direct and motivate internal and external teams.

This has come from your extensive managerial experience which included managing and developing staff.

You are confident in preparing accurate reports and summaries.

As well as all of this you have a knowledge and understanding of the handover and commissioning of new buildings and facilities.

Your Responsibilities

This role will see you ensure that the maximum operational usage of all hard/ fabric facilities for the benefit of the college.

As well as this you will ensure that all repairs are carried out within defined SLA’s while ensuring that value for money is obtained.

Day to day this would seen you managing the Campus engineering budget as directed by senior management and finance. A key part of your role will be to ensure that value for money is obtained on all expenditure.

Alongside all of this you will ensure that all maintenance operations are undertaken in a safe, efficient and timely manner.

As part of this role you will upskill the team to ensure more works are completed in house.

You will also provide a monthly report to the Lead engineer.

All of this will be done while ensuring  the highest standard of technical and customer service delivery.
