Imperial College London is seeking to make the crucial appointment to the role of Sustainability Manager, in its drive to meet its Sustainable Imperial target of Net Zero Carbon by 2040.

At this crucial time for climate action, the Sustainability Manager will play a key role in ensuring the implementation of Imperial College’s Sustainability Strategy 2021-2026 is realised along with our net zero carbon 2040 goal. In the context of global efforts and agreements on climate change and growing emphasis on sustainability in higher education, you will work with staff and students across the College, from our word-leading sustainability research institutes to key operational staff, as well as external partners.

We are seeking an individual with experience of shaping, planning and delivering strategies that enhance an organisation's sustainability performance.  Whilst playing a key role in strategy development and evolution, you will be delivery and impact focused, with a track record of leading the delivery of projects and programmes (such as behavioural change, investment projects, transformation) resulting improved sustainability performance.

Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills are essential due to the highly influential nature of the role.  A motivation to lead and develop a team is also key, as the Sustainability Manager will be tasked with growing the Sustainability team to Imperial has the necessary resource and skills to meet its targets.
