Reporting to the Head of Cleaning Operations, the Cleaning Services Manager will be responsible for the management of the operational planning and delivery of our in-house cleaning function for campuses, associated residences, and other areas of King’s Estate. Other core duties will include being responsible for the operational effectiveness and budgetary compliance of the campus cleaning service while continually delivering service improvement and maximising resource efficiency. 

Providing an outstanding cleaning service is paramount for this position. You will need to take a proactive approach to this position, tackling challenges head on and using your authority and expertise to make operational decisions quickly. Working closely with the Resourcing, Performance and Compliance Team, you will utilise this resource to understand staffing trends and use data driven decision-making to plan year on year activities to ensure consistent staffing levels and mitigate risk of service failure. Being the service lead, you will effectively act as a role model – showcasing your professionalism and best practice that will help motivate your team to deliver a high-quality service across designated parts of our estate.

The successful candidate will have an outstanding background within cleaning services industry with a strong track record of hands-on, multi-site-based operational cleaning management. You will be operational in your approach but have a strong understanding and experience of strategic leadership. Outstanding communication and leadership skills are essential, as well as a proven track record in managing large, diverse and high-performing cleaning teams. Your commitment to excellence makes you a strong team player with excellent motivational and inspirational people skills.
