Based in the beautiful surroundings of south-west England, Ted Wragg Trust is a progressive multi-academy trust who is going through a period of substantial growth. Formally established in 2013, the trust has grown to 13 schools located in Exeter, Plymouth and Crediton, and they pride themselves on the collaborative work they do with local communities and national partners. Following their growth, the trust is now looking to appoint a new Head of Estates and Facilities to join their business executive team to lead the strategic and operational delivery of a facilities and estates function across the trust. This role will also be focused on the development of growth through capital and maintenance expenditure projects, ensuring the estate is safe, secure, and compliant for the students, staff, and visitors. A key responsibility will be the management and oversight of oversight of facilities management contracts, driving continuous improvement and ensuring a high-quality and best in class service is delivered. Having the complete responsibility of the facilities and estates service across the trust, the expectation will be to build relationships and have a visible presence at all the schools across the estate.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate their outstanding experience in leading and developing a facilities and estates function across a diverse and dynamic estate. Ted Wragg Trust and the senior leadership team are very values and vision focused, and your approach and attitude will fall in line with these. You will be proactive, dynamic, and aspirational, with outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills, these abilities will make you highly proficient at contract and contractor management. A Strong knowledge of compliance and best practice is required, as well as an understanding of capital planning. Utilising all your skills and experience, you will be able to put them into practice and develop a best-in-class facilities and estates offering across the trust, taking your passion for making a difference and understanding of the education sector to make this role your own and a success.
