The Energy and Carbon Manager’s key responsibility is to manage building energy and carbon projects across the university estate. Being responsible for setting the strategic direction for improving energy efficiency, the Energy and Carbon Manager will lead initiatives and energy management projects and monitor the impact of these to achieve net zero. You will be responsible for providing specialist expertise and direction for carbon and energy management in line with the university’s strategic plan and be responsible for the effective delivery of analysis to senior stakeholders both internally and externally.
The successful candidate will possess a track record across a similar role with characteristics in line with a university environment. You will use this knowledge to embed energy and carbon initiatives in line with best practice whilst embodying the university’s core values. You will have a keen eye for detail which works in partnership with your project management experience, key skills that you have utilised in the past to analyse, monitor, and report on energy use, carbon emissions and expenditure. Your outstanding communication and interpersonal skills will enable to you build and develop strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. The role will suit professionals with proven track records in delivering renewable technologies across a similar multi-site portfolio.
