About this vacancy
Thank you for your interest in University Hospitals Sussex, there has never been a better time to join us. An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced and talented Senior Property Services Manager to play a leading role within the Trust’s Capital Development and Property Directorate.
Reporting to the Associate Director of Property and based at the Royal Sussex County hospital in Brighton, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in successfully delivering the property services function. This post offers the right person the chance to support the implementation of our clinical strategy and service plans, by ensuring property assets are used strategically for the benefit of our staff and patients. This will include making a significant contribution to the development of UHSussex 10 year ‘Property and Asset Management Strategy’, Masterplanning and leading associated property transactions. This work is essential to support the delivery of excellent clinical services and patient care.
The role will be based at the Royal Sussex County hospital in Brighton with frequent travel to Worthing hospital and other sites across the Trust. Demonstrating a strong successful career, you will have the opportunity to work closely with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders including project managers, clinical and corporate teams, and external agencies, in a collaborative and conducive environment. Understanding the importance of stakeholder relationships is therefore essential.
Bringing an attention to detail, skills include excellent oral and written communication, planning and scheduling events, preparing reports, managing risk, and establishing document management systems. Discretion and trustworthiness are essential as you will often be party to confidential information. You will be educated to degree level in a relevant subject area, be a member of a recognised professional institute and have clear evidence of continuing personal/professional development.
