Finegreen are supporting a large NHS organisation with an exciting opportunity for a Head of Facilities Management (Contracts).

The post will be based on-site, for an interim period of 2- 3 months initially with a potential to be extend and lead on to a permanent role. The hourly rate will between £48.21 - £54.88 per hour, working inside IR35 (through an Umbrella Solution company).

The post holder will be responsible for all soft FM contracts across the organisation, ensuring that it receives quality, patient focused soft FM contracted services that deliver excellence and value for money.

Key responsibilities will include:
  • Line management responsibility for the organisation’s operational management team across the Group and is responsible for the contract management and successful performance and monitoring of the call centre contracted provision, delivering through the organisation;
  • Accountable for ensuring that all services under their remit deploy the appropriate and cost-effective resources to ensure that services are maintained, KPI’s are delivered and that the patient experience is exceeded;
  • Undertaking detailed analysis and reporting on the performance, ensuring that a new and effective regime of invoice and performance data scrutiny is undertaken, and this satisfies the organisation’s SFI’s requirements;
  • Lead manager for all the soft Facilities Management contracted services;
  • Participates and leads in local and centrally led benchmarking and competitive tendering exercises to obtain either best price or best value for all soft FM contracts within remit;
  • Responsible for multiple budgets within remit for all Patient Transport, waste management, car park management and soft FM project management budgets within the Group. Has budget sign off up to £10,000 at budget holder level 3 in accordance with the organisation’s SFI’s;
  • Budget management responsibility for budgets more than £20M;
  • Accountable for taking all actions to ensure the organisation complies with all relevant statutory and NHS waste requirements, acts as the organisation lead specialist on waste management;
  • Maximise the use of electronic tracking and resource allocation systems and exploring all innovative solutions to future proof service delivery;
  • preparing management statement of cases and chairing of formal hearings in a timely manner;
  • Accountable for taking all actions to ensure the organisation complies with all relevant statutory and NHS waste requirements, acts as the organisation lead specialist on waste management;
  • Collate the evidence required to demonstrate statutory compliance for the Care Quality Commission, NICE, ERIC, and PLACE.
The ideal candidate will have:
  • Must have experience within the NHS/ a healthcare setting;
  • Postgraduate qualification Masters in Facilities Management or alternative relevant field or equivalent knowledge and experience;
  • Experience of managing projects;
  • Experience of producing service specifications / SLA’s;
  • Use of various forms of media, to support communications and presentation skills within the hospital setting.
