This is an exciting time to join the DVLA as we exit the PFI contract in 2025 and transfer the operational and strategic management of the estate back to the day to day control of the Estates Management team.

About the role

We are currently recruiting for a Senior Facilities Manager to join our HR and Estates directorate. This role provides an exciting opportunity to become part of the FM Futures Programme which manages the exit and expiry of our PFI contract, the design and transition of our hard and soft services and the procurement of new services as we come to the end of the PFI.

You will also be responsible and accountable for day to day delivery of Hard Services and Projects across the estate and the contract management of the hard service provider, including performance against key milestones and project plans covering Building Fabric, Mechanical and Electrical Services.

This includes:

• Preparation of specifications to advise and inform commercial procurement of services and project delivery via the Contract and other available Commercial Frameworks.
• Provide effective management of the Hard services supplier, PPM and reactive maintenance works including projects and life-cycle replacement across all the Agency’s sites.
• Provide estates and property knowledge to the Estates Management Group (EMG) senior management team with a pipeline of environmental, decarbonisation, improvements, and projects to help develop future Estates Strategy.

Full UK driving licence

Qualifications Required

Recognised qualification in either Mechanical, Electrical or Facilities Management.
