Goldsmiths, University of London is seeking to make the appointment to the role of Head of Health & Safety to play a crucial and influential role across the organisation.

As Goldsmiths’ Head of Health and Safety, you will lead the direction, strategy and objectives for health and safety of all of our activities.  You will act as the University’s lead in relation to health and safety and – as such – will be accountable for the implementation of an organisational strategy that is aligned with other core strategic priorities of the institution.  A key focus will be to work closely with and support senior stakeholders, ensuring they are able to demonstrate visible understanding, compliance and management of health and safety within their areas of responsibility.

We are looking to recruit an experienced leader, with a proven track record of delivering a comprehensive health and safety provision successfully, to lead and develop the strategic direction of fire, health, safety management across a diverse, complex organisation.  With a background and professional qualification in the health and safety industry, you will possess a proven track record of delivering health and safety management initiatives that drive organisational change and performance improvement. 

To be a success in the role the appointed candidate will need the excellent interpersonal, communication and influencing skills required to operate influentially across a large organisation with a diverse range of stakeholder groups.
