The Musicians' Union (MU) is the UK trade union for musicians and represents over 32,000 musicians across the UK working in all sectors of the music business.

As well as negotiating on behalf of our members with all the major employers in the industry, we offer a range of support services for professional and student musicians of all ages and backgrounds.

We currently have a vacancy for a full time, permanent, Office and Facilities Manager (OFM) based at our head office in London Bridge. The OFM is responsible for not only ensuring that the office runs smoothly but also maintaining a vibrant and nurturing work environment.

We are seeking someone who is a reliable and conscientious multi-tasker, and able to build rapport and relationships and trust across the organisation. You will have a methodical approach, great attention to detail, and be able to provide friendly service and assistance to those who rely on you.

Reporting to and working closely with the Head of Finance and Admin, you will oversee the day-to-day operation of our head office. This includes staff who are hybrid working, and meetings involving teams, members, and visitors. The workload will be spontaneous and sometimes hectic, but the atmosphere is always cheerful. You will also find the flexibility to implement new, great ideas that make up an innovative working environment.

The ideal applicant will have significant prior office and facilities management experience gained within a professional services environment and have a calm and creative approach to problem solving.

We’re offering a salary of £47,895, as well as a contribution towards a personal pension. The annual leave entitlement for this post is 30 days, excluding public holidays.

If you require this application in a different format or reasonable adjustments to be made to the recruitment process, please contact recruitment@themu.org to discuss how we can accommodate your needs.

The MU wants our workforce to be more representative of all sections of society and we particularly encourage applications from Black, Asian and Global Majority, disabled and LGBT+ candidates, as these groups are currently underrepresented in our workforce.
