Delivering world class customer service, through an in-house delivery team.

The Service Manager (Cleaning) will lead the operational planning of an exceptional cleaning service across the King’s estate. The Service Manager will be responsible for the effective motivation and management of a team of supervisors, approaching tasks with innovation and dynamism to ensure a cohesive and high-performing team is built and maintained.  You will have access to King’s innovative tools, to help get the very best out of your team and wider workforce.

King’s College London made the forward-thinking decision to insource their entire Cleaning and Security operation in Aug 2019. Now with a cleaning workforce of over 250 staff, King’s have been embarking on a proactive and dynamic journey of change – culminating in the creation of their own training academy (BICSc) as well as the investment in sustainable products and cobotics which aid in the delivery of a best-in-class cleaning service. Now is an exciting time to join as they are creating a brand-new team of Service Managers (Cleaning) to drive exceptional delivery, enhance student and stakeholder experience, and ultimately raise the standards across the whole King’s estate.

To be successful in these new and exciting roles, you will need to take a proactive approach to service delivery, tackling challenges head on and using your expertise to make operational decisions quickly. You will have a passion for customer service and act as a role model – showcasing your professionalism and best practice that will help motivate your team to deliver a high-quality service.

You will be an exceptional people manager with the experience of motivation and championing a culture of excellence. You will be able to demonstrate your background of creating and leading high-performing teams, motivating and inspiring them to deliver a best-in-class service. Experience and understanding of cleaning services as part of your skill set would be beneficial.
