Capital Project Manager, Berkshire, £21 - £29phr (Monday – Friday)
Client:
Castlefield Recruitment are currently recruiting for a temporary Capital Project Manager to join a large Public Sector organisation in Berkshire for a 3 month assignment (with a view to move permanently). The assignment can start immediately.
Role:
The role forms part of a busy Capital Projects Team, who provide a design and build service to the organisation’s sites, duties will include;
- To prepare feasibility through to technical drawings, specifications and other contract documentation using ACAD, NBS, & Microsoft IT systems, for design and construction of schemes, adhering to current legislation, guidance, and good practice. Undertake the full scope of works broadly in line with the RIBA Plan of Works
- To manage projects including resource, financial and contract administration, in accordance with the procedures required by the JCT/NEC suite of contracts
- To develop and manage construction programmes. Engage with internal and external stakeholders. (i.e. specialist consultants, clinical clients, H&S, fire, infection control, authorising engineers, building control)
- Understand and incorporate the Construction Design Management Regulations (2015) into all areas of work
- Oversee the construction process from inception to commissioning. Agree payment of accounts, checking and reporting on the quality of the workmanship and working to resolve, issues, defects and design changes with the contractor
Person:
The successful candidate will have;
- Experience of managing projects through inception, design, and completion
- Previous experience of working within public buildings would be advantageous
- Professional and technical knowledge of ACAD and relevant IT systems, building, construction, and engineering services
