Finegreen are supporting an NHS organisation in the East of England to appoint a Capital Projects Officer.

This role is a permanent position and will be working to a band 6, £33,706 - £40,588 per annum depending on experience, with an NHS pension and generous annual leave. The ideal candidate will be expected to have their own transport and the ability to travel between the organisation’s sites.

The post holder will deliver and manage comprehensive project management support to all properties within the organisation and contribute when required to organisation wide issues, to ensure that maximum benefit is derived from such assets that they provide a safe, secure and pleasant environment which supports and enhances the delivery of care to patients.

They will proactively contribute to the attaining and retention of ISO9001 and ISO14001 and be actively involved in all such initiatives relating to the post holders sphere of influence.

Key responsibilities will include:
  • A key member of the Capital Services Team ensuring building fabric, grounds, engineering services, plant and equipment are effectively developed through capital and revenue funding;
  • Carry out surveys, design of minor designated projects and the upkeep of AutoCAD drawings database and Estates and Facilities management systems in the support of Capital Services professionals;
  • Provide building project management services when required for a variety of minor block capital, associated schemes and minor works less than £5000 relative to the estate of the organisation;
  • Assist the Senior Project Manager with the project management of schemes ensuring completion, to budget, timescale and to consistent quality;
  • Provide building and/or engineering input into the design tender information, utilising internal, external or mixed resources for the procurement of the schemes;
  • Carry out measured surveys and produce proposal layout and detail CAD drawings in connection with others or own schemes;
  • Ensure full and effective communication with all relevant parties when undertaking schemes. Work with all elements of the Estates and Facilities Department in order to ensure a seamless service delivery to front line healthcare providers;
  • Use CAFM System to manage and deliver accountability using KPIs and other associated supervisory information.
The ideal candidate will have:
  • HNC level in building /engineering/project management or HND/HNC with relevant experience;
  • Experience in construction or engineering project management;
  • Managing multiple construction projects concurrently;
  • Strong interpersonal skills;
  • Able to analyse complex information and place same in an operational context.
