About the role

The Estates Services team are looking for a capable administrator to join our friendly, established Capital Projects group. As a group, we work closely with internal clients, external consultants, and contractors to deliver a programme of new and improved buildings and infrastructure that support the UK's competitive science and innovation capability.

Super organised and enthusiastic, you will be an integral part of the team, helping ensure that projects run on time and to budget. You will interact with numerous people daily from inside and outside STFC, and you will often work autonomously on your given tasks, including:

•           Keeping project records and files in good order

•           Arranging site access for all external contractors

•           Administering consultant and contractor appointments, including obtaining fee proposals

•           Organising meetings and booking meeting rooms

•           Monitoring project cashflow.

About you

You will have experience working in a project support/administrator/coordinator role, ideally within a property or construction environment. You will be able to demonstrate strong finance and cost management skills, ideally within a project environment. You will be educated to GCSE level, with A-C in English and Maths (or equivalent) and proficient with Microsoft Office. You will be a strong multitasker who can work independently and as part of a team.
