Job Details

Finegreen are supporting an large NHS organisation in London to appoint a Capital Projects Manager.

The post will be for an interim period of 3 months, with an hourly rate of £39.99 inside IR35, through an Umbrella Solution.

The post holder will be responsible for delivering 100’s of minor works across the organisation.

Key responsibilities will include:
  • Provide expert specialist and professional construction, programme and cost advice to in relation to the projects undertaken and more generally throughout the organisation on behalf of the Head of Projects;
  • Work with Head of Projects to develop and implement capital management policies and procedures for the department;
  • Provide specialist advice on sustainable design issues to healthcare designers and planners;
  • Undertake audits on proposed designs, to ensure they meet the requirements of the organisation;
  • Maintain an in-depth and up-to-date knowledge of sustainable and health-care-related design issues in construction;
  • Lead on several project meetings, steering groups & specialist design groups) linked to schemes within the programme;
  • Provide the technical input into those Project Group meetings;
  • Engage in formal proactive knowledge management processes to take successful practices from NHS and non-NHS agencies and utilise them in the development and implementation of the Capital programme.
The ideal candidate will have:
  • A background in Construction/Property/ Engineering or equivalent qualification and experience;
  • Experience working within the NHS in a management role with expertise in Capital Projects;
  • Experience with surveying tools and equipment;
  • Able to manage teams and provide detailed reports in preparation for meetings.
