Job Details
Finegreen are supporting a large NHS organisation in London to appoint an Operational Estates Manager – Electrical Bias.
The post will be interim for 6 months initially, with an hourly rate of £39.39 inside IR35 through an Umbrella Solution.
The post holder will be responsible to the Head of Estates for the operation and maintenance of all Electrical Engineering at the site. Including the HV/LV electrical power distribution network.

The post holder will be responsible to the Head of Estates for the operation and maintenance of all Electrical Engineering at the site. Including the HV/LV electrical power distribution network.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Ensure that the organisation, and its users are provided with a cost effective, technically sound and reliable engineering building services to retain the highest level of reliability for critical plant and services supporting all core business;
- Responsible for management and monitoring of all in house and contracted out services, particularly managing the performance of the Hard FM Services contracts ensuring compliance with statutory standards and recognised safe practices;
- Carrying out regular reviews, audits and reporting status of compliance, contractual KPI’s and escalation of non-compliant items;
- Manage the Estate to be fully compliant and, maintenance services in accordance with Statutory Obligations, Codes of Practice and Department of Health Guidelines (HTMs);
- Maintain the Estates risk register, develop, implement mitigations and contingency plans;
- Participate in corporate strategy, policy and decision making through attendance at the organisation Management Team meetings;
- Develops and ensures that staff training, development succession planning is achieved to maintain an efficient departmental service.
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent;
- LV / HV Authorised Persons Training;
- Proven experience managing a large team of technical, skilled and unskilled staff;
- Experience of managing large budgets and delivering services within budgetary limits.
