Contract: Fixed Term (Minimum 18 months up to 2 years)

Leeds Arts University is the only specialist arts university in the North of England. We have contributed significantly to the development of arts education for over 170 years, and have developed a national and international reputation based on the achievements of our students and staff. 

The Facilities Manager is responsible for the hands-on operational service delivery of the University’s Facilities, ensuring that a comprehensive, high standard Estates and Facilities service is provided at all times. The role has direct line management responsibilities for the Facilities Supervisor, University reception team and Estates Co-ordinator.

The post holder is responsible for managing day to day facilities operations including; contractors, suppliers, pre-planned maintenance, hard and soft facilities services, security, event planning, and logistics. They will be required to deputise for the Head of Estates, and in their absence provide continuity and progression, minimising disruption to work flow.

The successful candidate will be educated to degree level and/or hold an equivalent Facilities Management Qualification. They should have both knowledge and experience of Facilities Management, having worked in a facilities management role for at least 3 years, as well as able to demonstrate a high level of interpersonal skills in dealing tactfully and confidentially with a range of people.
