We are currently looking for an organized Maintenance Support Advisor to join our Infrastructure and Laboratory Services function within the Corporate group.

Infrastructure and Laboratory Services (I&LS) are part of the Corporate Division and provide engineering and specialist staff to deliver a safe working environment for staff and in particular our specialist scientific facilities. The Engineering / Maintenance Teams primarily support the South Mimms Site. This is a complex site of specialised facilities that support the delivery of the Agency’s science programme.

What’s the role? 

This post will manage the planning and scheduling of the sites Planned Preventative Maintenance Programme and reactive works to ensure the site meets its Statutory Obligations.

The post holder will be responsible for managing the Computer Aided Facility Management System (CAFM) to ensure the appropriate planning for Statutory Compliance works, Planned Preventative Maintenance works (PPM) and reactive works are scheduled to ensure the site remains safe and compliant. In addition to manage the booking of relevant contractors and attend site as required and the contract KPIs are managed and collated.

Who are we looking for?

The successful candidate will have facilities management experience and using a CAFM or equivalent system to plan, manage and co-ordinate Planned Preventative and Reactive Maintenance using internal staff and specialist contractors to meet Statutory Compliance Obligations. You will be adept at encouraging joined up teamwork within own team and across other groups and establishing professional relationships with a range of stakeholders. You will communicate in a straightforward, honest, and engaging manner, choosing appropriate styles to maximise understanding and impact and share information as appropriate and check understanding. You will also be adept at making plans and prioritising seeking to maximise productivity.
