Job Details
Finegreen are currently supporting a large NHS organisation in the recruitment of a Decontamination Operations Manager based in the West Midlands.
The role will require at least 3 days per week on-site working with full time hours for a contracting period of 9 months initially.
The post holder will direct and manage the transition, implementation and operation of each of the Decontamination Services Agreements to improve and monitor the performance and quality of the service.

The post holder will direct and manage the transition, implementation and operation of each of the Decontamination Services Agreements to improve and monitor the performance and quality of the service.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Developing long term strategic plans for the provision of the Instrument Decontamination Service, taking full account of the need to harmonise with the requirements of National and Regional Strategies and requirements for Decontamination;
- Designing, developing and managing plans for specific target areas and projects and ensuring delivery of the agreed solutions to identified issues;
- Managing the project budget, the selection and appointment of relevant external project advisors and such delegated amounts as may be negotiated for interim investment or additional instrumentation;
- Preparing and analysing detailed project data for presentation to Project Board / Trust Boards and advising the Board on the potential impact of that data;
- Work with all theatre management teams and explain to the theatre managers the structure and provisions of the Decontamination Services Agreement and the Similar Agreements respectively insofar as they affect them and the performance of their duties;
- Observe, inspect and monitor the services compliance;
- Maintaining liaison with external bodies.
- Educated to Degree level or equivalent;
- Minimum of 3 years relevant healthcare experience;
- Extensive knowledge and expertise within decontamination and contracts;
- Experience of implementing large scale complex projects, working at management level;
- Comprehensive understanding of the NHS decontamination process, the applicable regulations and the associated standards and requirements;
- Knowledge and experience of working on PFI’s, PPP’s etc;
- Experience of negotiating and managing operational service contracts;
- Complex data analysis, interpretation, and presentation;
- Ability to successfully introduce/implement national strategies and national policy locally;
- Engage and influence individuals/stakeholders in a variety of settings at all levels of the organisation and across the region.
