Finegreen are supporting a large NHS organisation in the East of England to appoint an Estates Manager with an Electrical Bias background.
This is a permanent post at a band 7 which makes the salary £43,574 - £49,587 per annum + the client has included an R&R (around 3-4K).
The post holder will lead a multi-disciplinary team of estates officers whose role is to provide the best possible estates service to the organisation.

The post holder will lead a multi-disciplinary team of estates officers whose role is to provide the best possible estates service to the organisation.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Ensure the efficient, cost effective and responsive level of service processing requests for repairs and maintenance from occupiers of the organisation’s Estate;
- Prioritise workloads and meet timescales for all functions;
- Verify recorded information and provide statistics;
- Ensure that all data is recorded within the Archibus computerised system and that the appropriate records are maintained within plant rooms or alongside relevant equipment;
- Review and develop the team’s working practices to meet the challenges from Best Value/Value for Money, new legislation, the client’s and NHS Estates expectations;
- Develop and manage the estates operation team to be customer focused by developing a positive image and reputation for delivery of the services provided;
- Operate maintenance and recording regimes necessary to ensure compliance with all applicable mandatory, statutory and organisation requirements;
- Attend and initiate meetings with clients to agree programmes of work, give advice on design and maintenance matters, and resolve contractual difficulties;
- Produce reports, including data and recommendations to the Head of Engineering on plant status, energy efficiency, emergency situations, service failures, labour force performance, progress on specific schemes, financial matters and any other items/subjects as might be required;
- Identify and submit competitive tenders for additional works as and when appropriate in order to meet performance targets and maintain viability of section;
- Be part of the Management Team for the Estates Service and contribute to the planning of the development of the Service;
- Ensure that the organisation’s premises and its associated users are provided with a cost effective, technically sound and reliable service from the Operational Maintenance Management Team;
- Monitor and authorise overtime working, examine completed works for quality standards, and ensure the prompt submission of prime documents.
- A relevant qualification/experience within Electrical Engineering;
- Relevant management experience plus specific training in an engineering/building specialty i.e. HV, LV electrical supplies, Legionella, Pressure systems etc;
- Membership of a relevant professional body such as BIFM, CIBSE, HCIMA, RICS, IHEEM (CPD required to maintain.);
- Ability to work as a senior team member.
