This post is full time and permanent, working 35 hours per week.
This is a leading and influential position within Estates Planning & Services and plays a key role in the provision of sector-leading facilities management services, ensuring that customer service is placed at the centre of all we do to enhance the student, staff and visitor experience.
This role is pivotal in expanding the internal and outward facing customer relationships and delivery of consistent service standards across the university’s West End portfolio, to support the implementation of the Estates Planning & Services strategy plans.
To be considered for this challenging and rewarding position, you will be able to demonstrate a proven track record in successful service delivery, in a highly customer focused organisation. You will be able to demonstrate an ability to work collaboratively and to effectively manage facilities management services including a rounded understanding and experience in both hard and soft services. Well evidenced experience in the leadership and management of a diverse internal team, working alongside a range of specialist external contractors will be required.
You will be educated to degree level or equivalent (QCF L5 – L6) in a facilities management or a similar discipline and hold full membership of an appropriate professional body (for example IWFM, RICS, CIBSE). You will also have a management qualification or equivalent practical experience that demonstrates relevant levels of knowledge and skills, together with a NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety.
In return, you will have an opportunity to participate in the strategic planning, communication, implementation and budgeting of initiatives in the new Estates Planning & Services structure, as well as providing leadership and problem solving. You will also maintain focus on the departmental and University wide strategic goals.
