Job Details

The Children’s Trust is seeking to appoint a Senior Estates Manager to lead estates operations across its diverse campus estate portfolio in Surrey.

The Children’s Trust is the UK’s leading charity for children with brain injury. We are unique, with an international reputation for the work we undertake to improve the lives of the children and families with whom we work. We provide information and support to thousands of children with brain injury and their families annually, through education, care, therapy and research. We provide expertise and experience in meeting the needs of children and young people with acquired brain injury, neuro-disabilities and complex health needs.

The Senior Estates Manager will lead operational estates provision and estates customer services, ensuring best practice provision and standards whilst ensuring compliance and regulatory standards are monitored and managed consistently and effectively across the estates function. The Senior Estates Manager will contribute to the formulation and delivery of strategic and operational objectives ensuring the provision of a comprehensive and fit-for-purpose estate, whilst bringing innovation resulting in service improvement and efficiency.

Reporting to and deputising for the Head of Estates and Health & Safety, this is a crucial leadership role with responsibility for the Customer Services Manager, Facilities Manager and Project Manager ensuring operational objectives are met, including the effective management of M&E and maintenance contracts, FM service provision, compliance outputs and capital projects.

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual with a track record of leading estates operations provision across a technically complex estate portfolio.  Influential leadership skills are essential, as the role is responsible for leading and motivating a diverse team spanning estates operations, facilities management, customer service/helpdesk and projects.

This is an outstanding opportunity for a motivated candidate to take up a role that makes a significant and lasting difference to the lives of thousands of children and families.

For a briefing discussion, please contact our appointed recruitment partners Jane Schofield (jane.schofield@mrgglobal.com) or Stephanie Howe (stephanie.howe@mrgglobal.com) or at MRG.

Applications, consisting of a CV and supporting cover letter outlining a rationale for applying for the post, should be sent to jane.schofield@mrgglobal.com.

The closing date for applications is Sunday 20th October 2024.
MRG interviews are scheduled for w/c 21st October 2024.
First Stage Interviews with The Children’s Trust are scheduled for w/c 4th November 2024.

At The Children’s Trust we recognise how important it is to have leadership that reflects the children, young people and families that we support. We also recognise that staff, comprised of a range of skills, backgrounds and experiences will help us to better understand the needs of those we support, and how we can best represent their interests.   We, therefore, particularly welcome applications from disabled people, individuals from diverse ethnic backgrounds and those from other under-represented groups.
